Title: Head Start/Early Head Start Site Education Manager (Colorado Child Care Center Director Qualified position)

Pay: $19.84 - $20.84 (Depending on education; experience and responsibilities)

Full-time Hours: Monday – Friday, from 7:30am – 4pm (or similar)

Location: Greeley, Colorado


Position Details: This is a 42-44 weeks per year; non-exempt; 40 hrs. per week position. Staff choose to either work during the summer (year-round work while the schools are closed) at the Main Office; or some staff choose job-attached summer furlough with unemployment benefits.



Oversees a Head Start or Early Head Start Center; responsible for supervision of Teachers, Assistant

Teachers, Family Services Tech, and Program Aides.

Monitors and supports the teaching staff daily by observing in each classroom/each session.

Works with full-time Family Services Tech and recruits prospective families and assists with enrollment process; ensures CCCAP eligibility (for Early Head Start).

Responsible for monitoring and compliance with applicable local, state and federal rules, regulations and standards as well as with any state and federal contracts, health, safety and licensing regulations. Responsible for adherence with all Head Start Program Performance Standards.


Minimum Requirements:

AA degree minimum; BA degree preferred in ECE, Child Development, or related field (with 15 ECE Credits)

Must be Colorado Center Director Qualified (for large childcare-preschool center)

2 Years (2,080 hours) of verified experience working in early childhood

3 years of supervisory experience with 6-10 or more employees
